For several configuration actions, you can download property information to an external file (). Using these external files, you can edit and import the files back into Revolution.
In all cases, the actions included in the external file are based on any filters you have set at the time of export.
IP Device and SIP Actions
For the following actions, once edited, you can only use them to update the same types of actions. The primary use of these files is to perform bulk editing of the actions; first by editing the information in the CSV file and then importing the information back into Revolution.
-
SIP Endpoint (SIP Endpoints.csv) — Downloading SIP Endpoint Properties to CSV.
-
SIP Line (SIP Lines.csv) — Downloading SIP Line Properties to CSV.
-
IP Device Actions (IP Devices.csv) — Downloading IP Device Action Properties to CSV.
Mobile, Cloud Service, and Desktop Actions
For these actions, one use model is to export from one type and import into another. For example, exporting Desktop Triggers and importing them into your Mobile Triggers for consistent behavior between the Mitel Revolution Mobile Application and the DNC.
Revolution only exports information that may be useful when importing back in to Revolution.
You can edit the CSV files, but it is suggested that you only remove any unnecessary entries.
-
Desktop Trigger (Desktop Triggers.csv) — Configuration > Other Devices > Desktop Client.
-
Cloud Service Trigger (External Integrations.csv) — Configuration > Integrations > Cloud Service Trigger.
-
Mobile Assistance (Assistance Buttons.csv) and Mobile Trigger (Trigger Buttons.csv) — Configuration > Mobile.
-
Mobile Assistance and Mobile Trigger Actions — Configuration > Mobile.
-
Cloud Service Trigger Actions — Configuration > Integrations > Cloud Service Trigger.
-
Desktop Trigger Actions — Configuration > Other Devices > Desktop Client.
You must specify import matching rules in the Match Data to field. The only option is Name and Site, which prevents duplication and enforces proper site permissions.
The columns will automatically match to the headings in the CSV file. You can optionally set any columns to Ignore if you do not want to import that data, instead inheriting the default setting for those columns.
If you removed the headings from the CSV file, you can manually match the columns to their type of data.
In cases where there are non-overlapping fields, Revolution will ignore those that do not apply to the action you are importing to or use default values for any fields that are not present.
