2021.1 Release Notes

Notifiers and Activators

IP Device Activator

SIP Activator

  • Revolution now supports geolocation information that may be stored in the SIP header. You can use the source.Coordinates and source.Location text variables to send this information in your notification.

SNMP Activator

  • The SNMP activator now supports SNMPv3 and SNMPv2c, in addition to SNMPv1, when creating Mitel dial monitors and generic trap triggers. See SNMP Trap Messages for instructions on defining the SNMP version.

CAP Activator and Notifier

  • When entering Geocodes into your CAP activators and notifiers, you can manually enter a NAME|Value pair, where it must have at least one character on either side of the pipe character ( | ).

Email Notifier

  • The Simultaneous SMTP Clients setting now defaults to 10, in a range of 1 to 20. See Email Notifier.

Other Features

Intrado Safety Shield

  • Revolution is now integrated with Intrado Safety Shield. This integration allows your in-building alarms or other Revolution triggers to report or trigger events in Safety Shield. Alternatively, you can set up Safety Shield to trigger in-building notifications via Revolution. See Revolution and Safety Shield Integration

Mitel Revolution Mobile Application App

  • For Sending Account users with administrator privileges, you can view sent notifications as well as any responses to those notifications from your mobile device. See Mobile App Interface.

Redundancy

  • Revolution uses a new internal framework for controlling server redundancy. This change does not impact the user interface in any way.

Endpoints

  • The Directory tab of the Endpoints page contains information about devices that are not Revolution-supported Endpoints. You populate the directory by using the Directory Import options in the Cisco and Mitel settings pages, or by manually adding devices. See Directory Tab. This feature ensures that you can provide location information when an emergency call is dialed from unsupported endpoints, which is a requirement for the Ray Baum's Act and Kari's Law, as defined by the Federal Communications Commission of the United States.

Desktop Notification Client

GUI Features

  • Revolution now saves your search string in four pages: Manage Notifications, Sent Notifications, Contacts, and Users. The string will be saved until you clear the search string or log out of Revolution.

  • The System Status page now displays License Statistics at the top of the page for easy reference.

Media

REST API

  • You can now stop notifications using POST (StopActivation). See Notifications.

Miscellaneous

  • Latitude and longitude values now support six digits of precision.
