Using the Mobile Application
This topic provides detailed information about using the Mitel Revolution Mobile Application on iOS and ChromeOS devices.
Revolution administrators should refer to Mobile Application Configuration for information about managing interactions with the mobile app.

Roles – This topic refers to several different people involved in using the Mitel Revolution Mobile Application.

Receiving Account - anyone who is a Contact in a Revolution environment and has been invited to use the mobile app. These users can receive notifications and initiate notifications. See Receiving Notifications and Requesting Assistance.

Sending Account – Revolution Users who have installed the mobile app. These users can activate notifications and review any sent notifications. See Activating Notifications.
If a Sending Account wants to receive notifications, the Revolution administrator must add them as a Contact and send them a Receiving Account invitation.
Users with the Viewer Role cannot log in as Sending Accounts.

Revolution Administrator - someone responsible for managing Revolution and its connection to the mobile app users

Location – The mobile app is reliant on your location; therefore you must enable this feature within your device settings.

Sites – Revolution administrators may have assigned you, as a receiving or sending account user, to a Site. This will limit the notifications you receive or can initiate. Note that this does not relate to your Location.

Response Options – Some notifications you receive may ask for you to return information to Revolution, including text, images, voice recordings, or your location.
You can install the Mitel Revolution Mobile Application in one of two ways:

Installing from an invitation email – this method applies to users who are considered Receiving Accounts, as you must first be invited to use the mobile app. Your Revolution admin will invite you to use the mobile app and you will receive an email.
Use the links in the email to download the application from the Google Play or Apple App stores.

Installing manually – this method is most common for Sending Accounts. Download the mobile app from the following links (or search the Google Play or Apple App stores for the application name

Receiving Account – This type of account does not require credentials in the form of a login and password.

Invitation email – select the Register Mobile link in the email to be automatically signed in.

QR Code - within the application, select Scan QR Code from the home screen to sign in with the provided QR code.

Sending Account – This type of account requires your Revolution AccountID, login, and password. From the mobile app home page, select Administrator Login, enter your credentials, and select Log In.
When you are logged in to the Mitel Revolution Mobile Application as a Receiving Account, you are set up to receive notifications from Revolution.

Alerts – The style of alert, sounds and banners, is controlled by your OS. Use the OS settings to customize how you want alerts to be displayed.

Images – The notification may include an image that helps identify the type of information provided. If there is no image associated, you will see the Revolution icon.

Sound – Any audio sent with the notification will play immediately upon opening the alert. This is true even if your phone is in silent mode.

Location – Notifications may be configured to be sent to people in a given area, a geofence, therefore it is suggested that you enable location information for the mobile app at all times. Also, some notifications may ask for a response and allow for you to provide your location.
The mobile app consists of up to four main tabs, some of which are specific to Receiving and Sending accounts.

Activate Notifications – (Sending Accounts only) From this tab you can initiate various notifications, mobile triggers, as created by your Revolution administrator.
Depending on how your admin set up the trigger, you may need to enter an access code before sending the notification.
Some notifications may allow you to add text, images, voice recordings, or your location.

Refining your Site – At the top of the page, you can refine the list to show mobile triggers limited to a specific Site.
When you select All Sites, you will see all triggers regardless of their Site setting. When you select a specific site, you will only see triggers that have their Site setting limited to that site.

Sent Notifications – (Sending Accounts only) From this tab you can review details about the last 50 sent notifications from Revolution. Expanding the notification will show you Notification Status information and any responses, where applicable.
Response information, including a bar graph for each response type, where Emergency Responses are red, and all responders are listed at the bottom along with any text response and a map link icon if they sent along their location; the map link will open the location in a map application.

Received Notifications – (Receiving Accounts only) From this tab you can review notifications you have received. Select the notification for details. You can also delete a notification from the history by swiping left.

Requesting Assistance – Swipe right on this icon to trigger assistance notifications that have been created by your Revolution admin.

Personal Information – (All users) From this tab you can log in to or out of your Sending and Receiving accounts and view your location and any Geofence areas created by your Revolution administrator.

Viewing Geofence areas – Within the location window, you can select the pin icon to cycle through any geofence areas. As you cycle through the areas, the top of the map window will show either a green or red dot indicating, respectively, whether you are inside or outside the area.

Receiving Accounts can initiate notifications from within the mobile app. The types of notifications available to them are created by the Revolution Administrator.

Go to the Received Notifications tab

Swipe right on the Request Assistance button

Select the request you want to make.

In the subsequent page you may be able to provide additional information, depending on how your Revolution administrator created the button.

Title – provide a brief summary of your request.

Body – go into additional detail, if necessary.

Include my location – Enable or disable. If enabled, you can use the map to adjust your location. It defaults to your current location.

Record Audio – send along an audio file with the request.

Attach Image – attach one or more images to the request. You can remove images with the red X icon.

Select Send to initiate the request.

Sending Accounts can initiate notifications from within the mobile app. The types of notifications available to them are created by the Revolution Administrator.

Go to the Activate Notifications tab.
