2024.1 Release Notes

Updated Features

Access Safety Shield from Revolution Navigation Panel

CAP Triggers Monitoring RSS Feeds

  • If you create a CAP trigger to monitor an RSS feed, you must ensure that the RSS feed content contains valid information. If the feed does contain at least one item tag with a valid link tag, the CAP trigger will report an error in the System Status page, CAP Module section. The Action Status heading will show a message similar to "<TriggerName>: Error Polling service(s) failed"

New Broadcaster Advanced Setting

  • In the Global Settings page, the Broadcaster section contains a new Advanced Setting. Before altering any advanced settings be sure to discuss this with a support representative. The new setting, RMS Threshold, allows you to increase the sensitivity of capturing audio input (altering this value does not impact performance). This can be helpful if Revolution is attempting to capture audio of quiet or deep voices. Refer to the description of the setting in the product for details on acceptable values.

Added Fanvil Phone Support

  • Revolution now supports the V63 and V65 phones from Fanvil. See Fanvil Configuration for information on configuring Revolution, your notifications, and your Fanvil phones so that you can send text and stored audio notifications to the phones and trigger notifications from Fanvil side keys.

Clarifying SNMP Functionality for OIDs with NULL values

  • Revolution ignores incoming SNMP trap messages with a NULL OID value (this is existing behavior). However, Revolution will no longer allow you to trigger off of messages with NULL OID values, because the Enterprise OID value is now required. Therefore, if you have created any SNMP Trap Triggers where the Enterprise OID value is NULL, those triggers will be ignored.

Verified Support of Algo Devices

  • Revolution supports the following Algo devices:

    • 8198 (IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker) and 1198 (IP Satellite Ceiling Speaker)

    • 8410 (IP Visual Display Speaker)
