Input Stream Activator
Configure Revolution to monitor a unicast or multicast G.711 Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) stream, which creates a trigger to activate a notification, as well as a source endpoint for a Direct One-way Notification. Creating an Input Stream is useful for those cases where you cannot create a streaming endpoint using any other Revolution modules.

- Go to Configuration > Static Stream.
-
Select New > New Input Stream.
- For Name, enter name to use as a trigger in notifications as well as a source endpoint in a Direct One-way notification.
- For IP Address, enter a multicast or unicast address for the device.
- For Port, enter the port for the device. If the stream routes through a Paging Relay, this value must be in the range of 20490 and 32768.
- (Optional) Enable Monitor stream for activity, which allows you to use this stream as a trigger of an activation. Selecting this option show these additional fields:
- Trigger when a packet is detected – Select this for cases when the stream starts and stops. Typically used when someone else disables it.
- Trigger when packets are no longer detected – Select this for cases when you want to know when something stops. Not for forwarding the audio.
- Inactivity timeout – Enter a time, in milliseconds. If a stream is inactive for this amount of time, the stream is declared inactive and any resulting notifications are ended.
Note: You can select both Trigger when a packet is detected and Trigger when packets are no longer detected for creating notifications that start and stop with the audio packets.
