Reset Admin Password

If you have forgotten the admin username or password created when you installed UNP (or need to reset it for some other reason) and cannot log into UNP, here's how to reset your password. The admin username is displayed when you run the rest password tool.

Note: These instructions only apply to the admin user account created during UNP installation. If you can log into UNP, you can change your password from your Profile page. See Changing Your Password.

  1. Log in to the UNP server.
  2. Navigate to the c:\Program Files (x86)\Syn-Apps\SAAnnounceRevolution.
  3. Double-click ResetAdminPassword to run the utility.

    4. This automatically assigns a generated password to the admin account displayed and copies the password to the clipboard for you.

  4. Go to the UNP login page and copy in the new password.
  5. Go to Profile in UNP and change your password.

Tip: If you got sidetracked and used the clipboard for something else before pasting the new password into the login page, just run ResetAdminPassword again. You can't copy the password from the reset password window.
